Netscape Communicator email configuration for the NetZero®
ISP users using the POP3 server feature.
Move you mouse over the "Edit" option menu at the top of your
Communicator screen. Move to Preferences on the drop down menu and click your
mouse.
Once the Preferences window opens place your mouse over the "+"
sign next to Mail & Newsgroups and click. Enter your full name into the
"Your name" box to the right. Next enter your email address in the
"Email address box. Generally this is the first letter of your first name
and your complete last name and not an alias name. Once you have completed this,
place your mouse over the "Mail Server" options on the left side of
the Preferences window and click.

Move your mouse over to the "Add" button next to the Incoming Mail
Servers box within the Preferences window and click.

Under the "General" tab enter your complete domain name into the
Server Name box, select "POP3 Server" inside the Server Type box and
your user name inside the User Name box.

Next press the "POP" tab at the top of the Mail Server Properties
window. Check the "Leave message on server" box and press the
"OK" button.

Move your mouse to the "Outgoing mail (SMTP) server" box and enter
the text "smtp.netzero.net" into this box omitting the quotes. Next
enter your user name into the "Outgoing mail server user name".
Generally this is the first letter of your first name and your complete last
name and not an alias name.

Next press the "OK" button on the Preferences window. This
completes the setup for your POP3 email account. (Note: If you have set up
additional email alias for your domain web pages all email will be sent to the
user you have just configured.)
To try you new configuration have someone send you a test email.
